Introduction

Zoology, one of the broadest sciences; predominantly considering the diversified world of animals and animal kingdom, including both living and extinct ones. It focuses on their scientific study, peering into the complexity of the living system; investigate behind their surroundings and helps them to maintain their existence with humanity. The different branches of zoology include entomology, parasitology, herpetology, ichthyology, malacology, primatology, paleontology etc.

The main aim and objective of the department is to provide quality education to students through a well-designed syllabus. The three year programme enables the learner to understand faunal life on various points of aspects from its systematics and taxonomy to the emergence and applications of modern biological techniques in the present world. The lecture sections as well as laboratory practices are highly integrated and intended for the students to gain an in-depth knowledge on animal science.
