In connection with IQAC and College Management, an International webinar on -Covid 19 and E-commerce: Extend of impact on Micro, Small, and Medium enterprises-,was organised by the Department of Commerce on 25/10/2021 at 11am. The session was handled by Dr Baiju Antony, Principal of De Paul College, Mysore. Paper presentation further carried out by Mrs Nithya N ( Asst Prof Dept of Commerce) and Laya Acharya ( Mcom student ). About 150 participants joined the programme. The session was very effective to students to understand the current Covid 19 scenario of merchandise and related fields.

Department of Biochemistry,IQAC of Gurudev Arts and Science College and AIRIO (Association of International Researchers of India Origin-American Chapter) organized an International webinar series through online Googlemeet platform from 23/10/21 to 25/10/21 on the topic PRE AND POST PANDEMIC SOCIO-CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL REALMS: TRENDS; STRATEGIES AND PARADIGM SHIFTS as main theme. As a part of this series, Department of biochemistry conducted a webinar on PANDEMIC IMPACTED SCIENCE LEARNING as subtheme on 24/10/21 at 3 pm.Dr Rajeswari. K, Principal of Institute of Advanced Study in Education,Thrissur delivered a talk on the above topic .MrsJisha.M ,Assistant Professor ,Department of Biochemistry ,Chinmaya Arts and Science college, Kannur gave an introductory speech. MsSreelakshmi Aravind K (M.Sc.Biochemistry,Former student) and Ms.Anjana Vijaya Kumar(Faculty) presented a paper on the topic COVID-19 and Prognostic biomarkers & Increased Serum alkaline predictor of mortality after stroke respectively. More than 120 participants actively attended the webinar. It was very effective to students and encouraged all to use various ICT tools for an effective teaching learning process in the present situation.

Department of Psychology conducted an International Webinar on REDEFINING SUSTAINABLE HAPPINESS IN THE NEW NORMAL 24th October 2021 at 2 pm through Google Meet. Webinar was started with a prayer and Mr. Chandrasekharan (NSS Coordintor, GASC) welcomed everyone to the session. Dr. Giby Geevarghese (Associate Professor, Mar Theophilus Training College, Nilanchira) delivered Introductory speech and Prof. Geetha Janet Vitus (Professor, Department of Education, University of Kerala, Trivandrum) was the chief guest. Ms. Sofiya Thomas )Head of the Department, GASC) delivered Vote of Thanks. Sruthi Mohan (Psychology student) was the master of ceremony. More than 70 participants were there for the webinar session. The session was very informative and inspiring. E-certificates were given to all the participants and speakers.

Department of Psychology organized a Charity visit to HOPE Rehabilitation Centre, Pilathara on 9th October 2021 as part of World Mental Health Day Observance (10 October 2021). We have contributed essential Commodities and attended 2 hours class by Mr. K S Jayamohan, Managing Trustee and General Secretary, HOPE. We all enjoyed being there for few hours even though we couldn’t interact with the inmates due to Covid 19 pandemic. We would like to convey our special thanks to Department of Biochemistry and Physics for their great generosity.

In the session a special talk on the topic' MSc entrance examination' was provided by Dr. P. Raveendran, (Professor , Department of chemistry , Mahi college)and Dr .Abdul Salam A K(Assistant professor , Department of Botany , Sir syed college, Thaliparamba) . The Department of Management studies organized the competition “Online Quiz – Indian Freedom Fight” held on 15th Aug 2021 as part of 75th Independence Day Celebrations.The Programme was organized under the guidance of Mr. Manu Tom (HOD – Management studies Gurudev Arts and Science College). Around 65 students participated in this event, the 2 winners from were selected based on the entries given in Google forms.This Programme was coordinated by Mr. Clint K Benny ,Mr. Jinith. K, Dr. Surabhi Krishnan and Ms. Sruthi. K (Asst. Professors Department of Management studies, Gurudev Arts and Science College).

On 15th August 2021, Department of Biochemistry in association with IQAC celebrated its 75th Independence Day in a mesmerizing way through Google meet at 10.00AM. The program was attended by all final year and second year students of biochemistry along with their department teachers. The Programme began with a prayer song by Ms.Chythanya Krishnan(Student) followed by a welcome address by Ms.Rakhi R C, Assistant professor of biochemistry department. She told the students about the supreme sacrifice of the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. She also said that freedom was very precious and it was very necessary to preserve it.To make the event more memorable and interesting , the department organized a Puzzle related to freedom fighters and social reformers. All students participated in the competition enthusiastically. Ms.Anamika M of second biochemistry was the winner of the puzzle completion followed by Ms.Vaishnavi K of third biochemistry in second position.. The session ended with vote of thanks and winner declaration by Mrs.VRajnaHOD of biochemistry department. E-certificate were provided for the winners.

PG Department of Chemistry in association with IQAC-GASC conducted Independence Day celebration on 15/8/2021 through Google meet platform at 10 am. Meeting was conducted on Google meet platform. We successfully completed the programme with 87 participants including students and teachers. The Chemistry department HOD, the most respected Dr.V. Geetha teacher conveyed the Independence Day message to the students.

Independence day program was contacted by Department of Commerce in coordination with IQAC. Quiz on the topic of- Indian freedom fight- and Speech on -Our mother nation- were the events held. About 55 students from different clasess joined the program. Thasneem and Firdous from 3 year B Com CA became the winners of the programme.

In accordance with Independence Day celebration, Department of Microbiology, Gurudev Arts and Science College organized an online quiz competition on 15th August 2021, 11 AM. The quiz competition was held online through Google form and the participants were requested to fill the form within the allotted time. 23 students from various departments had actively participated in the event.

UG Department of Psychology in association with IQAC conducted an ONLINE DEPARTMENTAL INDEPENDENCE DAY FEST on 15th August 2021. Quiz, Debate, Poster Competition and Patriotic song competitions were conducted as part of the fest. Quiz and Debate was conducted as live competitions via Google Meet. Judgement of each item was done by the experts in the respective field. Almost all of them participated in the fest.

Department of Mathematics, Gurudev Arts And Science College, in association with IQAC conducted Independence day celebration on 15 August 2021 at 10 am. We successfully completed the programme with the participation of our students.

On August 4th, the department of Microbiology in association with IQAC cell of Gurudev college, Mathil conducted an online fest, which focused on exploring students' extra curricular activities. The program was open to teachers , students and parents. Approximately 70 people attended the function and more than 15 students participated in various programmes. Due to the covid 19 crisis, the department decided to conduct this fest through online mode (Google meet). The program started with an inaugural session. After that, the cultural events started.

PG Department of Chemistry, GASC Mathil, in association with IQAC was successfully conducted our online fest --CHEMFLUENCE-- on 17/07/2021&18/07/2021 at 3pm with 100. The main aim was to entertain our students. First day,our programme was start with the inaugural session. Inauguration and benedictory speech was done by CEO and director of our college Rev.Fr.Samuel Puthupady. After that conducted a workshop on" virtual laboratory practical works and classes in chemistry" handled by Rasin P V (Research scholar, NIT Thiruchirappalli). Second day of our online fest we are conducted competition items like poster presentation and speech total 6 teams were participated in each item..after that cultural programmes like Dance, Songs, Reels, Drawings, Thread pattern etc. were took place.

Webinar on investment awareness in stock markets, conducted on 16/6/2021 by Mariana Jose, employee of BSE IPF. 60 students participated in the session. The session gave an idea to students how to make proper investments in share market and ways to utilise business opportunities.

Department of BSc Psychology in collaboration with IQAC, Gurudev Arts and Science College conducted an online seminar on “IMPORTANCE OF BLOOD DONATION AND CONVALESCENT PLASMA DONATION DURING COVID -19 PANDEMIC” on 04_04_2021at 11.am.Ms.Sharanya.N (HOD, Department of BSc Psychology) gave welcome speech. Ms.Shajna Govindan ( HOD, Department of Statistics) gave Presidential address for the seminar. Mr.Vinod Kumar ( HOD, Department of Malayalam ) inaugurated the seminar.

A workshop on chalk making was held at Gurudev Arts and Science College,Mathil on 3rd April 2021 at 10AM. The event was organised by the Curiosity Club of the Biochemistry Department in Collaboration with IQAC Gurudev. About 35 students and Department faculty members took part in the workshop. The trainer Mr Vinod and his companions of Wheelchair users association trained the participants to make white and colourchalks.The workshop was inaugurated by MrMadhusoodanan,Vice principal of our college. Welcome address was given by Mrs Sindhu P K Assistant Professor of Biotechnology. The Students enthusiastically participated in the workshop and learned the technique of chalk making.

Department of biochemistry in association with IQAC has conducted a programme -Meet the alumni- in which a former student and faculty member Mrs Archana T M was invited to share her journey as a PhD scholar.The session was conducted through online mode on 1-04-2021 at 3 PM. The session started with a welcome speech by Anjana Vijayakumar, Assistant Professor of our department followed by the talk of Archana T M .The talk was filled with information and experiences that can guide participants throughout their career . The participants were very eager to know about the future prospects of Biochemistry and the exposure they can get in this field which was evident from their enthusiastic interaction with the guest.

ENSEBLE Inauguration conducted through online as well as the committee of ENSEMBLE conducted Motivational class. PG Department of Commerce in collaboration with IQAC and EMPRESARIO (ED Club) conducted a workshop on chocolate making on 30/03/2021 at 10.30 am with 25 students. The session was handled by Jasna Mahamood, Skill Development Trainer. The main aim of this programme was to introduce an earning idea to the students. The students had a great experience with the trainer, they also actively participated in chocolate making. Trainer taught how to make dark, white and milk chocolate,it's decorations and wrapping also. She also motivated the students by explaining the profit that can earn from the chocolate business with low cost. The chocolates made in the workshop were distributed to the students and teachers and they shared their experience.

Department of Biochemistry in collaboration with IQAC of Gurudev Arts and Science College organised webinar on -Drug use and addiction- on 27/03/2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM by using Googlemeet platform.Dr.Neethu Grace Daniel,MBBS DCH,Consultant pediatrician,Paalana institute of medical sciences,kannadi, palakkad was the guest speaker. The program was attended by nearly 74 participants including four faculty members.

Department of Microbiology in collaboration with IQAC of the college organized a soap making workshop (earn while learn) on 21-03-2021 saturdayat 10.30 am in Microbiology lab. Department of Management in collaboration with IQAC and Business Jugglers (Inter department Club) conducted a workshop on paper pen making on 23/03/2021 at 2.00 pm with 60 students. The session was handled by Mr Sunand K, Skill Development Trainer. The main aim of this programme was to introduce an earning idea to the students. The students had a great experience with the trainer, they also actively participated in Paper pen making. Trainer taught how to make dark, white and milk chocolate,it's decorations and wrapping also. She also motivated the students by explaining the profit that can earn from the paper pen business with low cost. The paper pens made in the workshop were distributed to the students and teachers and they shared their experience. Dr. K. Webinar on -Bioactive compounds from seaweed- the executive members of Biochemistry Alumni Association in collaboration with IQAC, Gurudev Arts and Science College organized a webinar on 20.12.2020 which was undertaken by Dr. Shonima Govindan, Assistant professor, Safi Institute of Advanced Science, Vazhayoor. The session was delivered through the medium of Google meet and attended by 36 participants. The session was very interesting and productive giving the opportunity to learn about the resources inhabit the seabed. The talk also took the participants to uncover the marine derived compounds which are being used in daily life products. The speaker also promoted the participants to take interest in research and also gave guidance regarding the approaches needed to be taken when going for a marine oriented research. The session ended with the speaker acknowledging the local seaweed collectors who have supported and helped her throughout the 5 year research journey

On 23.08.2020, the department of Biochemistry, Gurudev Arts and Science College organized an online alumni meet. The meet was attended by 42 alumni and the department faculties. The event started around 3 PM. with the welcome speech of V. Rajna, H.O.D of biochemistry department followed by Dr. K T Raveendran, principal of GASC addressing the alumni. The session was followed by felicitation to biochemistry rank holders Kannur University Examination 2020 and other alumni students for their achievements in various fields. After the felicitation the session was open for interaction .All the alumni interacted with the faculty and cherished their memories. The alumni also shared their experiences in college days and their journey from student to the present. An alumni committee was formed and the president, secretary and executive members representing each batch were selected for the same at the end of the meet.

The department of Microbiology in Association with Fescon,IQAC of Gurudev college conducted a quiz programme in accordance with the Chandrayan day observation on22/07/2019 2 pm in the seminar hall.Students of various departments participated in the programme.

Department of microbiology in association with JCI Taliparamba organized a menstrual hygiene awareness class for girls all girls of the microbiology department and representatives from each department). The inaugural session was welcomed by Mrs. Dharanya Krishnan (HOD),The principal Dr. K T Raveendran inaugurated the session; Mrs Beena P(girls welfare, coordinator),union representative and Mr.Hareesh, JCI zonal trainer felicitated and Ms.Anagha (Microbiology association secretary)delivered the vote of thanks. As a part of national blood donation day (Oct 1) department conducted a blood group detection camp for all students of the college and a blood group directory was created. The final year students detected the blood group of students from different departments and the blood groups with their address and phone number were noted and kept as a record.

On 27/09/2018 World Tourism day celebrated by the students of Travel and Tourism Management and formed Tourism club. This year Tourism club conducted one day tour to Madikkeri.

HACCP certificate training was organized by the department for the final year students in association with Indocert food safety management, Ernakulum. The 3 day session was inaugurated by the principal. The sessions were handled by the trainers from indocert. After the session exams wereconducted and certificates were issued for the participants.

A seminar on -Nutrition as Medicine- was organized by the Department of Biochemistry Club- Curiosity on 19 February 2018 at 10.30 AM. University Rank Holders in Biochemistry 2017 Ms Saranya K (First rank) and Ms Amrutha Arjunan (Second rank) were felicitated on this occasion. Department of Management in association with Tourism club conducted an one day visit on 16/07/2017 in -HOPE Charitable Trust- Pilathara. This is the one of the main NGO in Kannur. A group of 15 students had participated in this visit. Through this visit the students got an opportunity to interact with people from different backgrounds. This helped them to follow a responsible and sensible life.
